| Mr Mihir Kumar Mohanty has served as the First Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation is the team leader of the Local Governance Network. During his tenure as the Mayor he has introduced many new concepts in Urban Management in Bhubaneswar. This includes resource mobilization strategy, heritage tank restoration, environmental management, sustainable mobility, City Development Plan, Climate Change, City Energy Management, Poverty Reduction Strategy and Good Governance. He has participated as a resource speaker in various international conferences including UNFCCC Climate Change Negotiations. He is the recipient of International Leadership Programme managed by Government of United States of America and Honorary Citizen of New Orleans. |
